Being a creative person my list of hobbies is quite extensive, there is no such thing as free time that I don't know how to fill. I love flowers, I love photography, I love drawing and painting and I even love gardening. All of these things I would choose to do at any given moment, my biggest problem is deciding which one I feel like doing the most. On top of all that I also enjoy using the other side of my brain, hence running my own business and last year making the commitment to study to get a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping. Phew I actually exhaust myself with having too many tabs open in my brain at the one time.
When I need to clear my head and work out my priorities for the day I go out for a walk. We are lucky to live right next to the Brisbane river and have kilometres of pathways to walk along. This is my time to slow down and just enjoy nature. I look at the leaves, trees and flowers along my walk, sometimes I pick some and bring them home. This is usually when the urge to paint comes out in me, just looking at the patterns and unique designs of foliage inspires me. So here is a little collection of some watercolours I've been working on recently. I never force myself to paint, I wait for the right spark of inspiration. True to my personality, nature is always that spark of inspiration.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend,
